Sinn Féin activists gathered in South Belfast last night to select Alex Maskey as the party's candidate for South Belfast and Niall Ó Donnghaile for East Belfast in the forthcoming Westminster election. Both candidates were selected unopposed. Read full article

Maskey attends Tree Dedication at Stormont to Mark 125 years of the GAA

South Belfast Sinn Féin MLA Alex Maskey, last Thursday, joined Tom Daly, President of the Ulster GAA, for a Tree dedication ceremony in the grounds opposite Parliament Buildings. Sinn Féin MEP Bairbre deBrún will be the guest speaker at a climate change event to take place at the Wellington Park Hotel on Friday 20th November. The event itself, which titled 'The Road to Copenhagen - the need for global agreement on climate change', will be chaired by Balmoral Sinn Féin representative Vincent Parker and will include speakers from Friends of the Earth and a Question and answer session.
