Homeowners over 60 - Quarter have outstanding mortgage debt

South Belfast Sinn Féin MLA Alex Maskey has said that there is a worrying increase in number of homeowners over the age 60 with outstanding mortgage debt .This follows a report by Key Retirement Solutions that found that a quarter of people in or approaching retirement had not yet paid off their home loan and owed an average £31,000 each. Maskey urges Warm Homes scheme uptake

South Belfast Sinn Féin MLA Alex Maskey has urged people living in the South Belfast area to find out if they are eligible for a Warm Homes scheme grant saying that, "While Spring may be in sight we are certainly not out of Winter yet and a sudden cold snap would be felt by the most vulnerable to the cold living in energy inefficient homes". Ó Donnghaile makes history in East Belfast

East Belfast Sinn Féin Assembly candidate Niall Ó Donnghaile last night made history by becoming the first Sinn Féin representative to address a public meeting in the wider East Belfast area. Mr Ó Donnghaile was taking part in a panel discussion with members of all of the other parties in East Belfast.
